Electric Vehicle Charging Point

‹‹ Back to News & Events Listing

We now have a Pod-Point Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger at the Hall, available to Hall users and visitors.

The number of electric vehicles on the road is increasing every day, and will continue to increase as we approach the government’s target of 2030 when new production of both petrol and diesel cars is due to cease.

Now visitors and users of the Hall can charge their electric vehicles whilst attending club meetings, events, parties etc. The charge point can also be used by any EV driver who needs to charge up. Sherfield-on-Loddon Village Hall features on the “Find a Charger” section of the app.

Drivers will need to download the Pod-Point app to their phones and have their details registered there before they can connect and charge.

This EV charger, coupled with the solar panels on the roof, is another step towards the Hall becoming a greener and more sustainable contributor to the protection of our environment.

The trustees would like to thank The Four Lanes Trust, our Borough Councillors and our County Councillors for their help and financial contributions, enabling us to secure this exciting and forward-thinking addition to the services we are able to provide within the village.
